The Studio Our home and what now houses the studio was built in 1920 by John Flynn.  John Flynn was the treasurer for the Teamsters in Chicago at the time, and built it as his Michigan property.  We have a beautiful Chicago bungalow in the woods.  It is truely a unique space.  There are many rhumors about our property, and stories of gangsters and bootleggers.  It's fun to hear all of the tales and we really do wish the walls could talk.

What is the symbol I use to sign my work? My mark is the Chinese symbol for the word "moon".  I use this because my name "Chandra" is Eastern Indian and means "moon".  There are many different ways to write moon in Chinese and I have chosen one that is simple and strong, something that I strive for in my work and the way I live my life.
